and Distinction Awards

The Wound Care Specialists’ Wound Program of Excellence and Wound Program of Distinction were created to identify post-acute care client skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) that demonstrate outstanding wound management performance and continued superiority in wound healing.

WCS offers both the Center of Excellence and Center of Distinction certificate

The Center of Excellence / Distinction Certificates are awarded to skilled nursing facilities that meet the following criteria:

Best-in-class average days to heal over a one year period

Dedicated wound nurse assisting clinician with weekly rounds

Superior facility short-stay pressure outcomes

Registered dietician on staff

Quarterly review of wound healing outcome data

Superior facility long-stay pressure outcomes

Outstanding Wound Management

Apply to receive either the Center of Excellence or Center of Distinction Certification and be recognized by Wound Care Specialists, LLC
